Designing a memorable brand and website for Dementia Australia's flagship fundraiser

Scope

Brand strategy
Visual identity
Campaign branding and design
Website design (UX, UI)

The background

During Dementia Australia’s national rebrand, we were engaged to refresh the identity of its flagship community fundraising event – Memory Walk & Jog.

As an extension of the primary brand, Memory Walk & Jog needed to balance two realities: alignment with the trusted Dementia Australia master brand, while also maintaining a sense of ownership by the community.

The brand needed to feel open, inclusive and uplifting – supporting participation, momentum and future growth.

Each year, we continue to work closely with Dementia Australia to evolve the Memory Walk & Jog brand across all event touchpoints – helping drive participation, awareness and donations.

Our solution

We created a bold, energetic identity that brings Memory Walk & Jog to life while clearly connecting it to Dementia Australia.

The refreshed brand delivers a strong, flexible system that feels accessible and community-led, without compromising credibility. Key elements included:

  • A refined logo system, with stacked, landscape and shorthand versions, with and without tagline

  • Clear lockups connecting Memory Walk & Jog to the Dementia Australia master brand

  • A confident colour strategy retaining Memory Walk & Jog’s signature yellow (updated to a stronger, more consistent tone) and supporting it with Dementia Australia brand colours

  • Core campaign and event collateral including social assets, stationery and merchandise

  • A carefully designed website that prioritises community user journeys, making it easy for participants to sign up, create and manage their own fundraising pages, and move through clear, intuitive donation flows

The results

The refreshed brand has strengthened recognition of Dementia Australia’s flagship fundraiser and created a platform for ongoing growth.

  • A more confident and memorable brand presence

  • Greater consistency and improved user journeys across all event touchpoints

  • A flexible system that supports future campaigns and sub-brands
