Bringing Visa's night-time economy insights to life

Scope

Campaign branding and design
Data visualisation
Whitepaper report design

The brief

Visa wanted to showcase how Australians participate in the night-time economy, targeting consumer and media audiences, rather than corporate clients.

The goal was to bring the data, insights and vibe scores to life in a way that reflects the energy, personality and vibrancy of Australia’s cities at night.

Our process

We approached the project through visual storytelling, translating complex data into engaging, accessible and shareworthy designs:

  • Turned spreadsheet data into detailed, audience-focused visuals, including a comprehensive infographic mapped across SA4 regions

  • Designed maps and social assets to make the night-time economy tangible and visually exciting, sparking curiosity and shareability

  • Focused on human storytelling, ensuring the designs were relatable and reflected how Australians live, work and play after dark

  • Maintained consistency across all assets, from the whitepaper to social tiles, so the campaign felt cohesive and vibrant

Our solution

Our design work brought the night-time economy to life by combining data, personality and visual storytelling.

  • Whitepaper design that guides readers through insights with clarity, highlighting trends, vibe scores and patterns across Australia

  • Maps and infographics that visualise complex data in a way that’s intuitive, fun and shareable, emphasising the energy of the night-time activity in different states and cities

  • Vibrant, human-focused visuals that reflect the personality and dynamism of Australia’s night-time economy, making the story accessible to a broad consumer audience

The result

Our dynamic design elevated Visa’s campaign, engaging audiences with Australia’s night-time economy and earning notable, targeted media coverage in business, government and community discussions on urban planning and economic development.
